Hey,

What do you all think discoveryshuttle.com is worth

The discovery shuttle is set for launch tomorrow:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/4673261.stm

The first shuttle to go into space with a team of astronauts since the columbia disaster

Regards,
YoungCoder

p.s.
If you watch the launch, just think who owns the domain name

Well I think if it blows up it will be worth a pretty penny.

Suggestion: park it at sedo or fabulous, see if the type-in traffic brings in money, and then you'll get an idea of how much it's worth.
It currently gets over 500 searches/mo according to overture, might get more if there's a lot of news about it after the launch.

Do you think nasa would be interested in buying it? I may phone them up later and see what they have to say...I don't expect they do, but hey! Its a reason to phone NASA!

Try it. Wouldn't it cost loads to phone the states? Unless you enquire via either a space centre in the UK or something O_o

Not sure if Nasa would really be that interested in buying the domain.....I heard the shuttle launch was delayed until monday due to an issue with the tanks or something. Hope it all goes well though, let's not "hope" for a disaster!

I think the domain is nice, but because the actual launch isn't that memorable on the surface I doubt it will hold alot of value. If it was the first mission to mars then it would be a different story, you could collect lots of information/pictures and use it as a resource for school children for their research

To be honest it is pretty obvious something terrible is going to happen, if it isnt in the launch it will be in the re-entry.

I wouldn't wish harm to anybody, but there have been 3 re-schedules of this launch, windows have fallen off, the monitoring systems go completely haywire, and it hasn't even left the ground. Things DO go wrong when they are in use, even when they don't in practises. I will be watching the launch with popcorn and coke.
