looking for a simple auto gallery feature

I'm looking for a small script or tool that will allow me to create galleries fast. Something along the lines of telling the script a directory to thumbnails and a directory to the full sized image and having the script generate thumbnail links on a page. Something simple that can be customizable so I can integrate it into a design. Anyone know of anything similar? I have been searching through Google but can't find anything that would work along my guidelines.
