It all depends on the amount of click-through-rate you receive. One click can range anywhere from 2 cents to 2 dollars. Here's a rough estimate of how much I earned through Google:

Impressions: 42,166 Clicks: 199 Click-through-rate: 0.5% Earnings: $25.09

This should give you an idea as to how much clicks/impressions you would need to get $500.

Note: Google Adsense pays through checks only and it's minimum payout is $100.

I'm really focusing on graphic and webdesign as an avenue for revenue at the moment, but its becoming exceedingly dry for me, so I'm having to take on work for really low prices.

Im hoping it picks up, if not then I can safely say that I have died due to the industries saturation

yeh the thing with Web Design is its very 'hit and miss' and with everyone selling so cheaply lately its alot more 'miss' than 'hit'

the fact that the $ keeps falling aswell aint helping for me being in the UK - when i first started 1$ was like 75p or something now that the $ is pretty much only worth 50pence it means i have to go even lower to compete. . . . this is one reason why i wanna look into something new

I'm going to stick with it until the very end, I think my only problem is the fact that I don't have many marketing avenues....I don't target local companies for reasons that I prefer dealing with people who have a basic knowledge of the online world, and like to do business across the internet.

Yeh that is true, i think you need some sort of direction or at least to advertise your services on a larger scale and not just on forums.

Yes, alot of people just advertise on forums. They need to realize that forums aren't the only form of advertising, they should pay for advertisements at certain big websites.

the only thing with adertising is it can cost quite a bit and it wont always work. . . . i know people who have done well from advertising locally (nespaper ads etc.) but i dont think there would be very many places (probably none tbh) that would be interested in my service where i live
