Post Avatar for Wordpress 2.6?

Well I used to use post avatar plugin to post an image next to my articles. (has to come before title in the theme). The plugin I used is http://garinungkadol.com/downloads/post-avatar/ . It doesn't seem to work on wordpress 2.6. Any ideas if there is an alternative plugin I could use?

If not I will have to make something myself
