What do you think I should do in order to create my portfolio.
Release a free ready-to-use script or offer free coding jobs to the fellow freelancers?

Yeah, I second that. I don't think you should be doing free work for people you probably don't even know and then they profit on that. On the other hand, doing work for a charitable organization would be great. You'd be helping them out a lot and have something that looks good in your portfolio.
Also, if you do do a free script, you have the luxury of making a script that interests you or that you personally like.

Free coding, just because I want it. 
Honestly though, a free script that isn't image hosting, proxy or arcade would be a nice change.

yeah if the script is good, e.g. not proxy,arcade or image host, then that would be cool! if not, coding

Rather than writing a whole new script, you could just create a plugin for an existing CMS; Wordpress, for example.
