Can someone tell me if there is any point of getting vista? What is different other than the look of it?

Thanks JRM

Well, apart from a few new cool features the only thing I have really appreciated so far is the new looks. However, the only reason I installed it is I got it for free (a dell free upgrade), if I had to pay for it then I would probably stick with XP for a while longer.

Unless you can get it for free or at a reduced price, I'd wait until more of the bugs have been ironed out of it. New microsoft software's always got some exploits and bugs for the first few months.

Few months? haha how long has XP been around? Even that isn't sorted. They need to learn to finish an OS before starting another.

I've just returned from vista back to XP because it's really buggy for games It's a shame because the theme is fantastic, although it does get old

I'm using Vista now. This may sound wierd but my PC is actually running faster than it was when it was on XP. The interface rocks too!

A few screenies:

I rotated my resolution 90 degrees to the right, flipped my monitor on it's side and took a screen:
