I don't like Vista either and I'm also wondering how much better, if better at all, Windows 7 will be. It seams they have finally set a release date for Windows 7.

technically, 1. each . upgrade should be considered more like a service pack than a new os, because it isn't. it's the same os.

if anything, releasing more versions of os x shows how good the operating system really is. it's 8 years old just like XP, but instead of trying to rebuild the wheel every few years, apple takes a solution that works and just builds on top of it.

the biggest problem with every windows release is they change **** around for the sake of making it different. i really don't see why microsoft doesn't take the same approach apple did. people like xp. i'm sure microsoft would make the same amount of money from everyone buying xp package upgrades, like directx10 support, 64 bit, etc vs some of them buying vista.

I say go back to Windows Xp and expanded on that. I currently have 2 xp machines and 1 vista laptop (for college) and Ive had more problems with vista then I have ever had with an xp machine. Itunes doesnt run properly, i installed adobe suite CS2 on vista and afterwords vista said installer has stopped working properly so it literrally took my CD-drive and made it disappear where vista could not read anything from the CDdrive.

Im really debating going xp 64bit

Windows XP was the latest invention of Microsoft as compared to other versions. But still awaiting for new release. Thanks for sharing these topics.
