Personally I would have put the banner ad above the main navigation, leaving a more square shape for the current logo to sit it. Then maybe added something extra other than the logo on its own.

For me, it just seems like the current advertising area was dropped in and the text is there just to fill space. Just my thoughts.

Acually try that, see how it looks, then take a member vote of the position of the banner !

If we did what salathe suggested we would have to change the design of the entire header...the navigation would be in a different position on the main page than on the forum navigation. Considering we aren't having banner adverts on the index page this would not work.

I am open to all opinions on the design of the advert rotator, but we are happy with it and as far as i can see the majority of members like it, we have no plans to change it
