  Old  vBulletin Article Bot

I was checking up on vBulletin.org today, and i happened to come across an Article Bot hack, which basically catches onto News Feeds from certain sites and posts them up as a thread in a designated forum. I think something like this would be extremely useful for sites like A List Apart, Simplebits, etc. Once a new article comes out on one of these sites, people on here will know, and people will learn.

Not to be rude but... you could just visit those sites (and more) in question if you want to read their content.

Ultimate- I have seen this hack on forums before. It normally is used with sites associated with one another. Maybe like thesitepeople with this site. Even so, the sites are very unrelated and if they wanted to hear news on TSP, im sure they would be more than happy to type that url into their web browser if they are serious about what they are looking for.

The sites that take affiliateing and partnerships to extremes usually use this feature with portals.

Well basically, someone saying to me "install an article hack" is like someone saying "your forums are dead and nobody reads the posts, install this and try again".

There's no difference, we have our own article system right here...it's called a topic
