Xsite Pro Issues

I wonder if any one has had problems with xsite pro. I build sites using many mediums and occasionally use software such as xsite pro. The sites are quite good and more over quick to build however I built one sit and over a period of time it grew and grew until it reached about 1400 pages at this stage xsite pro struggled with it until it eventually just crashed every time I tried to open the site to update it. I just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and maybe found a fix.
