What do you want to accomplish twiisted_kaos? If you really want to learn then I suggest getting a book and look at the PHP.net site. If you just want to learn the basics look at http://devarticles.com or http://phpfreaks.com.

I suggest getting a book of PHP, something easy. Then go to the php site and check out the functions that you find in the book. Another thing to excel your learning is to idle on irc, a good channel is the one on freenode which is ##PHP.

At least that is how I am learning.

Why would you learn PHP in a college course, sure it's a great langauge to learn by yourself in your spare time, but if you're going to college for it you may aswell learn asp.net.

I was unaware you can major in PHP. I'll chalk that up to the 16 label.
