  Old  spry menu hidden behind div

I've made a horizontal spry menu. It works fine in firefox, but when I preview it in IE the drop downs are hidden behind a div that I have below it.

Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

Here is my html:

HTML Code:
<body>
<div class="container" ><div id="left_border"><div id="header"><img src="imgs/main_site_imgs/header.jpg" width="800" height="184" /></div>
<div id="nav_holder">
<div id="navigation">
  <ul id="MenuBar1" class="MenuBarHorizontal">
    <li>
      <a href="index.html">Home</a> </li>
    <li>
          <a href="bio.html" class="MenuBarItemSubmenu">About Me</a>
          <ul>
            <li><a href="resume.html">Resume</a></li>
            <li><a href="blog.html">Blog</a></li>
            <li><a href="links.html">Favorite Links</a></li>
          </ul>
      </li>
    <li>
        <a class="MenuBarItemSubmenu" href="portfolio.html">Portfolio</a>
        <ul>
          <li><a href="web_design.html">Web Design</a> </li>
          <li><a href="graphic_design.html">Graphic Design</a></li>
          <li><a href="artwork.html">Artwork</a></li>
        </ul>
      </li>
    <li>
      <a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
  </ul>
</div>
</div>
<div id="body_index">
<table width="800" height="300" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="5">
  <tr>
        </tr>
</table>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
var MenuBar1 = new Spry.Widget.MenuBar("MenuBar1", {imgDown:"SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarDownHover.gif", imgRight:"SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarRightHover.gif"});
//-->
</script>
</body>
Here is the spry css:

This is the first time I've used spry and I haven't found anything online yet to help me fix the problem and my tinkering with stuff hasn't worked. So I must need to add something, but I'm not sure what.

If you can help I'd really appreciate it.

hjalmar is an unknown quantity at this point

  Old

could it be positioned as well? because IE6 (atleast) makes a new stackorder.
