I hate the way everyone gets on Microsofts case, they're just trying to run a business and make life easier/better for their consumers ie. us. Doesn't the EU have anything better to do?

They are? Do you believe that a company that wants to f***ing kill google really wants to help us?

The thing is, making security software will put many security software companies (including Symantec) out of business.

It will also further increase thier monopoly, and as webdevelopers you know what happens when they get a stronghold on a market. Look at IE, thats only being updated because of the increase of people using other browsers such as firefox, and also thier search, they are only doing new things with it because of the threat from google.

Seriously. Does anyone have anything better to do than sue Microsoft?

As much as I don't like MS, if you want to use another product, you'll buy it.

I like Norton better than MS, so if MS gives me a free anti virus, anti-spyware, I will still go out and buy Norton (or update my subscription)

I like Dreamweaver or Frontpage. I have Dreamweaver.

I use Mozilla over IE. Even if Mozilla wanted to charge me for it, I would rather buy it than use IE.

Lets take a look at the ordinary user than doesn't really know much about Anti-. Something is better than nothing.

If a product or service has a better offering, people will get it. I don't think that Google has any fear from MS.
