Old  Do you have a launch team?

Usually when I start up a new forum - I try to post as a much as I can and then I'll let some of my online friends know about it, but usually they don't help me, but just stand there and look.

So, do you have a launch team? How many people does it consist of?

I didn't have a launch team. I basically told people to come. Now there are over 9,500 members. 1 year later.

Like any other business it's very much who you know rather than what you know. Try to netowrk as much as possible with other people in your market.

Originally I didn't. I used connections at other forums to try and get them to come onto mine. It worked nicely at first. Then I was able to get real world friends onto the board. I had the issue of maintaining both the site and forum at the same time and that's when things fell through. I left the forum and worked on the site and people left.
