You can trust him 100% and say he always does your work clean and fast. But he might be on another site selling your PSD for money that he needs for a quick doman or something. You really can't trust someone, it's internet. For instance, i could be super professional on here and outside be the most gangster in the city and be shooting people (rofl).

But hey, i go to this forum and i notice now that im about to get blown away from what everyone is going to say to me (bad comments) for saying this...
If your coder needs to sell your psd, for coding you just paid him for, to get a domain, that is a bit odd logic.

Well if you're that worried about it, anyone with any skill could actually go to an existing web page, make a mock .psd that looks like it, and sell it as their own without ever seeing the original .psd. Anyone with that much paranoia shouldn't have a web site in the first place

In an enviroment like ours were we deal with media every day, if someone steps out of line everyone will hear about it before you yourself realise it. There is no point in the coder trahing his reputation, with systems like iTrader in use and just general chit chat around the Forum. But on the realism side, im sure it has happened, if I were you i would try and build realtionships with coders, or hire ones with a proven track record with clients (again use of iTrader).

@Derek, im not too sure you follow the point, its work on a PSD that is unique to their site, i dont think people like having copies of there site hanging around on others computers.

Regards,
Alex

I delete the .psd after I've coded it.

i do get the point. this discussion is blown out of proportion. if you don't trust them not to back stab you, don't do stuff with them. that's just every day common sense.
