30 computers or more?
What sort of network would you lot have for 30 computers? will upgrade to over 60 tho
i was thinking more of a rack box in a room with a patch panel and a rack mount adsl modem firewall ?
and then route all cables from that 1 rack thu all the house ( well when i say house i mean hotel )
is that they best way ? basiclly i have a fare bit of cash 2 do this so what would u say the best way would be with what hardware also i need a server as well in the network

You might want to consider Wireless. You can get a repeater if needed.
Just depends what this is for.

you woudn't have to do anything special.
Just get a router and then a 32 port switch and you are set.
nothing fancy is needed

I wouldn't recommend a wireless setup, could get pretty laggy.

At our school, they have over 180 computers, and they payed over 25,000EUR for a network, ADSL, and it's so slow, i would not recommend ADSL, go T1 and not wireless

Sounds to me like you should be looking for a professional networking engineer instead of hoping a bunch of people on a freelance forum (no offense guys) can point you in the right direction. At the rate youre going you'll ending up doing a half ass job that has half ass results.
Aside from that you havent really told us what your network is for. Knowing what you plan to do is integral in designing your network.
Also what do you mean by "fair amount of cash"? $500, $5000, $50,000?
Are you planning to have a firewall? in your case I'd recxommend a hardware firewall. Cisco Pix firewalls are nice.
Who is running all the cabling? Yunno 60 cat5 cables will take up some space?
Are you sure all the computers wont be on the network at the same time? How can you be so sure? What if they are?
Too many unanswered questions.

Depending on your budget, i'd get a firewall built by CheckPoint. I build and install CheckPoint firewalls for a living, and they are very superior. A lot of large corporations and governments use them. I cannot tell you which though
