very fresh and sexy looking design
Im really liking the semi-transparent window bars, looks so professional
If i can afford to upgrade i would really like to, although i might wait and get a new 64bit pc with longhorn when it comes out.
Perhaps this will rival apple and the mac, for looks, this is very good news for windows users
Why is it going to be called "longhorn"? and also, what major new features are going to be included? Key features will definently play a part in whether i upgrade or not..is it worth it?

I really like the transparency of the windows as well. Other then that, it looks not too much different from xp. The start bar is layed out the same way but thats not a bad thing.
I am also wondering why it is called longhorn, sounds wierd to me.

I used to run the longhorn windows theme a while ago, so the appearance isn't anything new to me. I'm anxious to see some new features within the framework however.

I wont be uploading, by the time that comes out i shall have my Mac, running Tiger
I'll probably get it just for the sake of it, but i'll get it when something like SP2 for Longhorn comes out, theres probably gonna be a few huge security bugs and flaws when it's released, it's like that with everything in my opinion, i'll wait until it's been used globally and tested that way and upgrade when the time feels like it.
Seen some screenshots of this sort a long time ago, i've used Longhorn, a BETA version at a mates house, looks good, i'll be waiting
Regards

yeah i saw some longhorn pics too. seems to me like they are trying to look like a Mac.
i dislike their overuse of outer shadows and glows. if they do want to use shadows or glows they should make it subtle :/
besides im not too much of a fan of a fancy GUI, im happy if it functions well which is something windows hasn't done for me consistantly in the past. i hope longhorn is an improvement at least :/

Codename is longhorn...Atleast I think so...XP codename is Whistler.
Not really diggin it. I was hoping for something revolutionary but it looks a lot like windows. Then again, windows is convenient in itself. Hopefully the framework is the real upgrade. I dont really like the gui. They should ask the skinfactory to do the GUI for them.

Micro - Soft
Long - Horn

but micro means very small so opposite would be very large and opposite or soft would be hard
