I recently made the switch over to the Intel Core 2 Duo (2.16Ghz, in my new Macbook Pro) which is a vast, vast improvement over my old laptop's 1.7Ghz Pentium M.

My brother seriously upgraded his home desktop machine last week and invested in one of the Quad cores (3.2Ghz?) -- it might just be the novelty speaking but he says that it's the best investment he ever made.

Thats what i wanted to get. So i should go with the new intel procesors anything above 2.0ghr and i will be fine
