  Old  DHTML Menu Creators

DHTML Menus are a very 'enhancing' feature to any webpage, and in some cases very practical when dealing with a site that has a large amount of links to contain.

I just recently purchased a license from www.sothink.com for their DHTML & Javascript Menu Creator software, and I'm happy as a pig in muck with it. However the flipside of the coin is, can cleaner code be generated from coding these elements manually?

What are your thoughts on software replacing a hard coders job?

If you use software, what software do you use?

That's my point, are all these applications doing is creating a cushion of convenience for its users, or doing things properly?

If it's doing things properly, there must be a catch somewhere, other than the fact that it's not a free application.

Anthony, I have been using Sothink DHTMLMenu for all of my DHTML menus for some time now and I am more than happy with the software. I don't know if cleaner code could be generated from coding these elements manually but I do know that Sothink's software does a clean job on its own. Just enjoy it!

Thanks for the post Shant

I haven't had much time to start toying with the software yet, tonight I'll spend an hour or two familiarizing myself with the interface, and possibly comparing code. After which I'll post a full review on the forums for all to read.

BTW - SoThink DHTML Menu Creator retails at $35.00 - Nothing to pay for a future of gain with your website development hobby or career!

Looks like a fairly decent program. Maybe I'll pick it up once I get some cash.
