i dont think Adobe will do anything major changes to any of the macromedia products. maybe just change the name to adobe something and work on integration of some of the products like photoshop and flash.

they will have to see how the customers react to the buying of macromedia.

i am not sure but didnt adobe acquire cool edit and change it into adobe audition. i am not sure. if yes then they did nothing but change the name of the software
small changes nothing major if that is the case.

anyway we will just have to wait and see.....

i always like Macromedia more so i wouldve rather had MM buy Adobe. but i hope this turns out for the better and Adobe doesnt slack off or anything. they should merge their programs like PS & FW, DW & GoLive, Flash & Live Motion, etc to create even better programs with much more options and things.

I think Photoshop is the most flexible image editing program out there...and it's meant more for print media and not wed media unlike Fireworks. There's so many different ways to do one thing in Photoshop which is what I like about it the most.

I hope Adobe gets rid of Macromedia's UI. That was one of the reasons why I gave up action scripting in flash because the User Interface was a pain to work with.

I wonder if Adobe would try incorporating SVG with Flash somehow. I see more potential for SVG than Flash.

I think that they will incorporate more of the flash / after effects relationship...

I love Photoshop but the homogenization of all these packages will reduce the amount of competition. Competition is good for the consumer.

Still, I can't say I would mind seeing Photoshop eat up Fireworks and adopt some of the features that make it a good web design tool.
