Did I get screwed over?
Dear Ryan Raplee,
It has come to our attention that you may have recieved potentially
unauthorized funds in your PayPal account. We have initiated an
investigation into this event. In the meantime, we have placed a temporary
hold on the funds in question until the investigation is complete. This
temporary hold will show as a deduction in your available balance.
Sooooo I just lost out on 500$ and the goods... Good Game to me...

I am unsure, paypal have done things like this to me before. I would suggest contacting them by phone rather than e-mail. It will get sorted out alot quicker! What was the payment for?

Hex,
Yes you probably got screwed over, the only 2 times I've received a notice like that, I never got my money. And one transaction was for $300 but the guy hacked into someone else's Paypal account to pay me (was for programming work).
Not much you can do... Clearly the person who paid you doesn't have an account or money and Paypal can't let you keep stolen funds.
Regards,
Patrick

After talking with Hex online....i doubt that is going to happen. Considering the money was withdrawn from the account first, paypal have now changed his account to negative status....that is never a good sign. All the best though and i hope it gets worked out to some extent.

I suggest reading their TOS when you signed up with paypal. I think you gave them consent to take money from your account. Also, you will never be able to use that card again until you pay off the debt. Unfortunate turn of events
