  Old  Zend Studio

Anyone else use this great piece of software?

Just got a three year license for Zend Studio 4 Pro and I couldn't be happier. For serious PHP coding, it's seriously the only way to go.

The name seems familiar, any more information would be greatly appreciated as programming is something I'm looking at involving myself in in the near future!

Thanks

Right here:

http://www.zend.com/store/products/zend-studio/

There is a personal edition available but it sacrifices a lot. If I could only afford the personal edition, I would just use HTML-Kit instead. In fact, I did for years.

In fact furtherly (?!), I still use HTML-Kit, and IMHO it is the only product that really competes with Zend Studio and it's FREE. I use it for my HTML/CSS work since it has so many features that flush right into the process. It's ugly as sin, but it has more plugins than you could shake two sticks at and an integrated FTP browser, which is almost impossible to find these days. (e.g. explorer-like browsing of multiple FTP sites in your IDE). I can't even explain how much faster this is than downloading, modifying, uploading, and testing every single change you make on your server. Just hit Ctrl-S, and refresh your browser!

I highly recommend HTML-Kit to programmers of all types, just take 10 minutes and look at all of the insane plugins they have. You can really do just about anything with it.

I used to use HTML-Kit a LOT and I recommend it to anyone who wants something in between a plain text editor and an interactive one that guides you once in a way.

Someone I know from another forum also started using Zend Studio. I hear that it doesn't support multiline search and replace...but it does support regular expressions so you can probably use backreferencing in regular expressions to replace multiple lines.

I'm sticking to Vim, Bluefish, Screem and Jedit
