  Old  Need Marketing Ideas

I originally created this site with high hopes. Things came about and I've not had tons of time to work on the site adding features or attempting to market it. Marketing sites has always been my weakness, I can code anything you request but when it comes to marketing I'm horrible. So I'm asking for help. Do you guys have any ideas on how I can market this site? I was thinking of an affiliate program but really, I'm not sure how successful that would be.

Site in question:

I really think Google Adsense would be a bit perfect for something like this, for certain searches like "new desk" or ikea or something along the lines of that.

This is one of those sites that viral, social networking-type marketing would be best. Figure out a way to get picked up by myspace users, stumbleupon, facebook, etc., and then you'll be able to discover lots of ways to monentize it.

Etc. etc.

Just always keep in mind that patience is a virtue in our industry. Hope my suggestions help out.

Goodluck!

Totally pointless. You would end up spending so much more money that you would be making.

Why not implement some viral elements into the website? Why not add a hot or not style desk rating feature that generates some code that people can add to blog posts or myspace profiles etc that displays a hot or not style widget that links back to your webiste. Anything viral like that people usually jump on.

It might be worth while getting a few friends to blog about it. Again, generally if one person in a close blogging network makes a post along these lines others usually follow suite.

You could even evolve it and give prizes to the users with the top rated desks. It just adds a little more incentive for users to actually take the time to add their desk if they think they might get something out of it.

Another idea, you could run a competition to find the user with the messiest desk. I'm sure this would bring in some good content to the website that would act as good link bait.

When the comp is over make a news post of some kind outlining the top 10 messiest desks. Submit that to digg and you're laughing.

Best idea that comes to mind is participate in heavily populated forums and market it form there. You could invite them to participate also in your site by submitting their screenshots or make a poll in those forums.

I think I would have to agree with Mr cat.It ois a good way.
But
I think you should setup a forum of your own.Put something interesting to talk on.
Your site is great but you need to upload a forum.
You can contact paid-posting service to boost your forum.
I would prefer www.forumlifting.com
I am their representator.
They provide marketing solutions for free.
You can use their free Signature advertisement.

I think this would be a really good idea for your site. Another thing you could try would be to implement a 'desk of the week' or something like that-either a really messy or weird desk-something that people will notice and (hopefully) link to. Something that changes every week or so also brings visitors back time and time again.

The site looks great! Good work!

Marketing is an action whose result is an increase in the selling of products and services. These products and services should completely satisfy customers while at the same time making money for the company that is promoting and making this product. Another best idea is if you have website having good & quality contents & have enough traffic., you can join google adsense program to earn money from your website.
