Get out of the stone age brotha! Nah.. but seriously.. There is most definitely a good "point" in having 4gb ram. You said.. "if your not." Well, most people on here are designing, rendering video, playing games etc. 512 isn't even enough to just have photoshop open alone and it run decent.

I have 4GB DDR3 in my iMac and I must say... I want more. If DDR3 wasn't so damn expensive!

You'd be surprised - CS (1) actually runs fine on an old 512MB Laptop of mine (XP SP3).

I have 8GB DDR2. I just built my first computer afew months ago, so I choose to have alot more ram than my old comp, which had a measly 512MB.

My PC has 8Gb of RAM - it's quite un-needed and 4 would do perfectly, but it was on special offer so I got double.

Most of the time I am using 2.5-3.5Gb of RAM, only when using Photoshop & gaming does 8Gb come in useful.
