I most often design in a width of 800 pixels, but sometimes I start doing it in more (max. 1024) and something great comes out

What the hell is grid design?

Ive just ditched the whole 800X600 thing. I doubt there are many left with their resolutions set to this. Im now accomodating 980+ wide.

I go for 980px wide, I know of no one still using 800x600, and if they are, they are probably using IE6 aswell..and I'm getting sick of accommodating those people ;p

Usually can differ a bit here and there depending on the project, but mainly 1000 x 1000 to give me plenty space to move around in.

i start from 768px width and stop at 900px. if i have to do a "box" like some flash sites, i prefer 550px
