Gallery Showcase suggestion
Now before I make the suggestion, I know this would be quite difficult to police but bare with me, someone else may also have a suggestion
I've noticed that quite a few gallery showcase threads go unanswered or have 1 or 2 responses, yet have 50 views or so.
Now theres nothing wrong with viewing at all! I do it, you all do etc! But at the same time everyone likes posting work and getting reponses.
An idea might be: For every thread you post in there, could you please critic 2 other peoples work.
It might bring a bit more activity back rather than just lots of empty threads.
Anway, i know the logisitics are tricky, and it would rely on goodwill of members.

There may be hack for this - not sure. My main issue would be spam - it would have to be well policed.

Yea, im sure i've seen a hack somewhere for it.
As you've all said it would need to be policed well, perhaps bring in a moderator, that would do only that section.

Just set the minimum word count to around 40 or so. Then they can't say 'looks good' and get it over with. I'm 100% for this idea, because it would help everybody get reviews.

There's already a 10 character minimum...which stinks IMO. Sometimes, you can give a concise critique for less than 40 words too.

Thanks for the support for this idea guys, a little give and take would improve things so much more in the showcase.
I mean how long does it take to put a couple of constructive ideas down for 2 or so people? In return you can get everyones thoughts in your threads.
I firmly believe with a character limit or good moderation, this could bring quality posting to that forum, as well as activity.

In order to give a decent, thorough review that is actually worth reading it should be at least a paragraph in my opinion.

I don't believe you can set this on a forum by forum basis though
