Don't wait too long selling that domain. Something new might come about, and then it might be too late. But, AJAX is deffinately not something completely new. Its a Javascript method, not a language. Flickr uses it as well for certain things.

i've used "Ajax" in something recently.
i didn't really want to but it was the feature the customer wanted :/

"Ajax" has been around for a while...it's actually the XMLHTTP Request Object within JavaScript that handles this.

by the way, it was Microsoft that introduced this concept years ago...they seem to be very interested in XML technologies.

well anyway, there are some disadvantages in using Ajax...one very big thing is the inability to maintain bookmarks.
i think Ajax is great but ONLY when used in moderation ONLY where necessary. some people overdo it by using Ajax for navigation...there goes accessibility and usability :/

check this thumping list of Ajax uses out:

AJAX isn't something that's "new" or "around". It's not a language and it's not a technology. It's more of a methodology.

AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript and XML) is used to describe anything that implements Javascript's XMLHTTP Request Object (As Koobi said).

There has been a lot of confusion between people new to AJAX in thinking it's a language or a new technology. It's simply just people plugging 2 and 2 together

Regards,
Patrick

Ugh, I hate people referring to AJAX as just JavaScript. It is a combination of technologies:
To quote Adaptive Path:
In the shorthand AJAX, JavaScript is only one of the four characters. Remember that. (Asynchronous JavaScript And XML)
