A Tax ID is required, wherever you live, from our prospective.

The Company Name has billings of over 20mm, I think that's considered a "real" company.

I'm going by the rules here, brother. I'm trying to make this right.

So I gave him a tax number and he said W2's get sent out in Jan.

He shouldn't need a tax number to claim his payment on his taxes.

"Real" companies don't call associates "brother". What is up with this guy? Full of the brown stuff if you ask me...

"My assistant Mary" made me laugh.

Textz- I think he created the design, and this guy isn't paying him. I don't think he has sent it yet.

(That's what I think, I could be wrong )

Well for now people -

The president of the company has agreed to pay me. His assistant Mary should pay me tomorrow (Tuesday) as Monday (Today) is a bank holiday.

He said the payment would go through tomorrow.

I will keep you all updated on this.

You should not have given him your tax ID. There is no reason he needs it unless you are under a W2 contract. Claiming they withhold your taxes for you is more likely a 20% discount for them (they most likely pocket it). Don't expect to get a W2 form. Do not give him anything till the payment clears, even if that takes a few days. If they ask why, just say they have worked hard to earn your distrust.

Here is why I would not trust them:

The Frankfurt Group has billings of over 20mm, I think that's considered a "real" company.
Twenty millimeters? Besides the misspelling, a real company would NEVER use that as "proof". They say they are a registered business, ect.

I'm going by the rules here, brother. I'm trying to make this right.
No business would ever call a client "brother".

My advice is leave now. They aren't worthwhile to work with and are probably going to try to scam you again (they already got your tax number)

He don't appear to have an office, his contact address is a PO box. Sounds like a guy from moms basement.

lol at Village Idiot - I'll keep you updated man on this. I'm expecting the payment tomorrow.

There are other forums where we can really wipe this guy in the mud if he tries to scam me.

Ok these guys are getting a bit annoying now.

I received some emails from the main guy - "the president" of the company who I have been dealing with all this time.

He said, payment will go through tomorrow and if I could take away the company name and his name as it is "slander"

I agreed - if he pays, of course I will take back all my words even though, it would be after days of constantly hassling him for my money owed.

- Now I get an email from his "Billing" department to say, Payment will proceed tomorrow. (He said the payment office was closed today earlier on?/It's Paypal, it takes 2 minutes to send a payment)

- Then I get an email from his legal department with some text saying basically I am relating to their company in slander and the following excerpt,
"From a professional standpoint, I would advise you to choose your words
carefully in the future and refrain from posting anything that would
violate the UNITED STATES DEFAMATION LAW: this includes, but is certainly
not limited to, anything that may be held under U.S. and INTERNATIONAL
LAW."

- I replied simply by saying, if the president of the company paid me at the right time when he said he would, I wouldn't have to post this on the internet for all to see.

- Reply from Legal team, "I am going to ask that everything be placed on hold until you and I resolve this issue. "

--

What a joke. I can assure you fellow freelancers though, that if I do not receive money tomorrow, so others don't experience these problems I have, the name of this company will be released on numerous web/marketing industry locations.

For the freelancers!
