Definitly NOT sitepoint! You have to pay a fee ($9.95) to even list your services, what a joke I wouldn't recommend yaxay either, it's full of people who advertise their services and thus aren't interested in buying.

Talkfreelance covers a wide range of people (buyers & sellers) I would try namepros though, it's large and it has a busy marketplace.

I dunno - but I find that a lot of these forums have Offers and Requests that overflow with services that are less-than-spectacular. (talkfreelance is NOT one of these btw). I can understand Sitepoint's decision to charge by virtue of keeping the number of posts low and pageviews high per post.

The Sitepoint fee is dumb. They are driving away good sales. I guess they just want a profit =/

I would better advertise the service in WHT instead of paying to sitepoint for the ad.

I personally love sitepoint but recognise that the selling fee is a bit out of place
btw maybe they needed a way to keep the posts of a certain value (read this as avoiding kids go there and sell an ugly psd made in 5 minutes) avoiding the marketplace to become a trash can

Yeah sitepoint's model is actually correct- just look at some of the templates, they really ruin the industry. Everyone's thinking they can go and make a quick buck (whether or not they have the skills) through web design...

just got a call from this advertising client of mine- he wanted to drop my services because he said he could get a school kid to do what I could do at a mere fraction of the cost... boy he's going to pay $xxx, xxx to put a $300 advertising campaign designed by a 15 year old into swing... sheesh!
