IrfanView is a freeware graphis viewer for that can view, edit, and convert image files and play video/audio formats. It was not designed to host extensive image creation and painting capabilities like Adobe Photoshop, Fireworks or GIMP. IrfanView is designed to be a lightweight viewer/player which is noted for its speed, ease of use, and ability to handle a wide variety of graphic file formats. IrfanView is named for its creator, Irfan Skiljan of Bosnia and Herzegovina, IrfanView works under all modern versions of Microsoft Windows such as Windows 95 to Vista; Microsoft tested version 3.98, which was on the official Vista software list. I have been using this product for so long I would just be lost with out it. For on the fly image re-sampling, re-sizing, cropping, touch-up, and the host of other options this fast compact program offers, there is just no other that will do.
