[Poll] What do you think is a reasonable turn around?
Recently i've been thinking about different clients i've had and their reaction to turnaround (good and bad). I often thought that for a one page psd 48 hours was an excellent turnaround, some clients beg to differ this is where i get a bit frustrated. So i am here asking you folks what you think is a good turnaround for a one page PSD design.
Thanks!

AlexK is right, there is a lot it depends upon. One thing is for sure though, a rushed product is a bad product. Thats not to say that dwelling for ever on a design will be of any help though.
When designing a forum skin it will usually take me around 4 days to complete the PSD (working a few hours per day). Personally i find this a very reasonable turn around time. At the end of the day a design takes as long as a design takes and you should inform pushy clients that if they want value for their money then they need to provide you with enough time to make that happen.

none of these are reasonable. a basic web site takes at least a month or two to develop properly.

Well. I would say a month if you were designing, coding, and basically releasing it to the public, yeah a month would be reasonable. But for just a design (PSD) I would say that a week would be a good turnaround.
And obviously it would depend on how much you could work on the project each day...

My company takes around 1-3 weeks depending on the complexity of the design. 48 hours in a excellent turn around, but I feel that a quality design needs more time then that.

Got to agree with Derek on this one.
I mean, it takes 2-3 hours to do a full client profile on their needs, it takes at least a week researching their needs (sometimes a LOT longer depending on the complexity), it takes at least a week or longer to design the site and communicate with the client about revisions, it takes a week or two to code the site and add the clients content, then normally a week or so ironing out any problems.
Of course this can take a day if you have a basic generic uncoded template.

I'd say a day - 4 days.
