Rumors say that its going to be a virtual OS ran with off site back ends - meaning its going to be a server ran OS where users can connect to. Its just rumor but getting hype.

They have already started working on the new OS, they have stripped vistas core so its basically command line, and they boasted the speed, now they are rebuilding or so Microsoft said parts, making it run faster after the vista disappointment.

Wikipedia said it was going to be released sometime 2010. That's quite early! I just bought Vista. Now I get to drop another couple hundred bucks in their pockets? Great.

I've went back to Windows XP 64-bit. I didn't like Vista. I'm not sure how much better of Windows 7 will be. It may go the way of ME-XP though. ME was terrible, but XP quickly came out which was decent. Since Vista is terrible, there might be a quick release of Windows 7 which is halfway decent.
