Depends what you're going to use it for...
I use my desktop the most and I find it easier to upgrade and maintain so I choose that!

Laptop, that way you can use it anywhere in the house. Do you feel like going to the kitchen while talking to somebody? Unless you put your desktop and monitor on wheels, you can only have the mobility of a laptop if you have a laptop :S

Different computers for different applications, I don't see how they compare in a poll?

Yep that true Julian, If you use the computer at room, get a desktop. If your out and about and need to use your pc, get a laptop. It's as easy as that

I wanted to add both to the poll, but it seems I can edit it.
Julian, I'm not trying to compare them, I'm simply wondering wither most people on here use a Laptop or a desktop more, or which one do they prefer to use.
