Old  How to setup a business

Ok this small guide will tell you how to register a business and get it all setup.

1) Choose a name to trade under
2) Check that the name you have chosen is available, you can do that here
3) Order your trading name and company number you get with the name, you can order those here .
4) Send of the 288a form to companies house to appoint the directors and secretary for your business.
5) Send of the 287 form to companies house to register the companys office.

The next three steps will help you to obtain a business bank account.

1) Go to your bank account request a meeting with a business manager
2) Go to the meeting and take the following forms:
Certificate of incorporation
Mem and Arts document
Company agreement
288a Form
Your passport
A bill to your address
3) The next step will be to sign and agree to some terms and conditions

All the information above should be a rough guidline for begginers wanting to get things right the first time round.

As a note, not all companies choose to become a PLC, so numbers 2 and 3 aren't essential.
