No, sorry.
Look at the size and the colors

I'm okay with the current rules

anything going over the top will be deleted, making sigs like that non-existant

EDIT: I was a little late, but this paragraph was for Vividwire
A good rule of thumb is that if you have to question yourself about it, chances are you didn't do a good enough job or in your case you're doing something wrong. But I'll let the administrative team answer your question.

On Topic:
It wouldn't really bother me with the images, however I really like my little PReader . And as Salathe mentioned, my signature is a reflection of me like any signature should be. Just like clothes. See, I go to one of the few (probably only) public schools in my state that allows us to wear whatever we want (within reason); so I guess you could say I know from experience or that I'm a little biased.

I think we should apply more rules on the images, however we shouldn't completely restrict them.

This is bad. I'd rather keep the signatures, but the staff has spoken.

The staff hasn't actually spoken. We are asking you all to vote, and to see your opinions of this proposal (note the term proposal).

I see that 23 members are all for the new rules, 15 are against it, 5 are undecided. This is very interesting, because most replies to this thread seem to be from members who are against the changes. What do members who are for the changes think? do you have anything to say? your reasonings etc?

I do not use images in my sig, but I can see why people do.

tF's main reason for this is slower loading times. So why not get rid of avatars as well? They use more bandwidth than sig's do, as most people have avatars and not everyone uses images in their signatures.

Like others pointed out above, if you are on 56k or just have a slow connection, then turn signatures off in the UserCP!

Considering that this is a design forum, people should be encouraged to show their talents and like Salathe stated above, it compresses a 5 line speech into a 200x100 image. An image speaks a thousand words!

sounds dumb, I prefer images even if I dont use them
they allow more freedom of one to express him or herself.
Forums with sig images restricted are so boring.
