I don't know really, i think it's hard to predict such a thing until it starts to happen. When a simple site that sells well happens then it will probably kick start people jumping on the bandwagon. I think one of the main sites people are tending to develop atm are myspace related ones although it does seem to be carming down a bit. As you said proxy sites seem to be popping up everywhere as well, the amount of new image hosting seems to have reduced from what it was, probably due to the huge amount of them.

Hmm I think arcade sites are increasing. It's pretty easy to maintain an arcade site but it's a bugger to advertise well. Proxy and image hosts are popping up for the same reason. They require little to no content and it's plug and play for the internet.

I think arcade websites will be on the rise, however I don't think they will be as saturated as image hosting websites due to the fact they cost more to develop.

I see a lot of humour websites about now (like ebaumsworld.com). I also see a lot of arcade and image hosting sites as well.

anything at all to do with myspace - love it or hate it it's massive and it's not going to slow down anytime soon.

I don't think there will be many MySpace imitations popping up. The competition; quite obviously; is incredible.
