Full time design

How many people here actually work as a deisgner full time, as in it's your job.
I don't mean a hobby or after school.

I don't work as a full time designer but I do run this community nearly full time (it's my only source of income) i'm a student currently.

i guess i would fit the bill in certain respects...i have a pt job as a designer for a large corporation, 9 hour days, mondays, wednesdays, and fridays. i then work on tuesdays and thursdays from my home office, 8-10 hours.

I'm in. I work as a designer for 3 years now, 8 hours per day. And i like it

Man ive been designing since 1988 when i was a screenprint artist.
Now im a design consultant/art director at a firm in Sydney City 3 days a week.
And I freelance for some creative agencies here in Australia.

8 hours! geez your lucky average day is 12-15 hours.

It's kind of an afterschool hobby although I can make a living out of it if I lived on my own. I usually design 2 hours a day and code 1 hour a day.

If I did this fulltime I would probably earn more than my dad

Full-timer here, Monday-Friday 9-5.

Its all fun for me.

I don't freelance for a living at the moment.

My job is full time--however design isn't my primary objective--but do work with it frequently..
