I agree, however i will wait to its finished before making a conclusion on what i think. 
Although i usually just use "View new forum posts" But i loved the order before but as i said..

I am going to have to do some scrolling to get down to my favourite section now. 
I can see your reasons for doing this, but I have have my reservations that it will work.
