  Old  Question

Well, my family was sued for downloading music and I'm now using iTunes. Our lawyers said not to download any music or anything and since the RIAA encourages the use of iTunes, would that still be bad? I'm just really confused and my mom is yelling at me for buying stuff off of iTunes.. any ideas?

By download he meant illegally download, it is perfectly legal to use Itunes, your lawyer wont have a issue with that.

Okay, well I'll have to tell my mom to ask them so she will believe it.

So far it's not illegal for music downloads here in Canada AFAIK. So I'm not worried, but yeah entirely legal to pay for your music.

Ask your lawyer...

Did the lawsuit go through, or did they drop the charges?

How did they find out about you downloading music?
