Old  any advice on how many pieces to submit to publisher?

i have to put together a "portfolio" of greeting card samples to send to a publisher. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions as to how many i should send?...how i should send them?.... and lastly, whether a cover letter of some sort should be included and what it should contain?....

any help or suggestions you can offer would be most appreciated.

thanks in advance.....

I would take great care when packaging the samples. Perhaps put them in a folder/binder with sleeves for each individual greetings card. I wouldn't bother sending every single one you have made, just your best ones! 10-20 I would say and make sure you choose a wide range of contrasting styles/designs. I would include a letter with the portfolio just outlining your services etc.

Hope that helps
