IPB vs vB
I am starting a gaming forums soon, and wanted to get some thoughts on which to go with. I am leaning towards IPB because thats the license I will most likely be able to get.
What are the pro and cons you guys have experienced with both of them?

I think that both are brilliant little pices of software. I think that it comes down to both personal preference and what exactly you are going to use the forum for.
I have always been a vbulletin person myself but on my most recent project have been playing around with IPB. Although I am loving IPB at the moment, there are things that I am missing like the vbulletin.org community with loads of add ons that just aren't there for IPB. I think if you want just a forum that does the job go for IPB, but if you want to build on the forum, add more features and make it into a community, your better off sticking to vb.

I used to be a "fanboy" of IPB a long time ago. Since they were Ikonboard. They have changed too much to look like Facebook almost plus their team changed a lot. Whenever I went with vBulletin and got my license, I've never looked back.
