Domain backordering is the process of ordering a domain before it expires, kind of like reserving a seat at your favourite restaraunt. I have tried it before but unfortunatly most of the decent domains are backordered by multiple people and they end up going into an auction system.

If you succesfully do obtain a backordered domain then you usually have to pay a high fee $60, sometimes more to register it.

One of the best backordering websites is www.pool.com, it is free to use and gives you information regarding expiring domains

But then what happens if the person re registers it again and again? You basically loose your money then?

No, you don't pay until you succesfully backorder it.

If you are hungry about a name you want to backorder, be ready to open your pocket it ain't cheap unless it is a very very low profile name

Compaines: Pool.com Enom.com there are more but those are the most popular
