I can do this for you.

But i know you said php and mySQL, I can only do asp.net (vb.net) and MSSQL.

Features will include:
-Whatever you said up top.
- "a white board" setting -> a chat room with a live white board, the teacher is using. I am not too sure about this control. I will not be creating it from scratch, and will be looking for an already available one. if there is one, i can garuntee its not going to be free.

$750 with fully coded design, 4 months hosting, database, programming of site.

thanks

$750 is a very low quote for a project like this without design, hosting and such. I would quote you upwards of $4000 on this without design (I dont design)

Thanks for the replies. I aggree with Village Idiot, I wasn't really expecting a low price is the quality of the coding I am looking for.

I am not really looking for a pre-made system either, this would be something that would be a stand-alone package.

The design and hosting of the project would be sorted by myself.

Yes, i would quote you at least $3000 for everything you said. It's not a small job by any means.

Hey Vivid. I'm headed out for the day (brothers graduation) but I've got you on MSN, and will talk to you when I get back tomorrow.

My explanation for $750:

I know its a little low (and i agree with you guys)

1) I needed the money :P haha who dosn't.
2) asp.net very different then php guys.
say for a login control it might take a php coder 10 - 20 minutes. it takes my 10 seconds. because everything is already there for you.

i have made classes for all the common tasks a website needs. so

In my opinion I dont think that I would be happy charging the customer upwards of $xxxx, but what I think is right.
note: I am perfectly fine with you guys charging a lot but this would be an easy project in asp.net atelast for me.

sorry guys if im brining the market down. i'll research more into next time, or wait till one of them replies, and go about that trend.

thanks

erm 20 minutes is a good time for a decent secure login system at least one including session checking, register, forgot password, validation emails (and resending the emails).

I dont see how you can quote $750 for this!

P.S to OP i'd recommend something similar to www.moodle.org as a free option for you.
