You'll need to provide more information for anyone to be able to give you a quote.

Unless the programmer is familiar with 'CAL and OGL' that is.

Im not necessalry looking for a quote, as I may not start a project like this, im just curiois what it would need?

I just want to know what it would all take (For example an Image Upload site needs an upload system... lol) and how much you think an average coder would charge

For a site like those, it would have to pretty much custom programmed. There aren't many good ones out there that are resold. I would estimate around $400-$600 for a good PHP coder to make one exactly like that. (Some people will/might charge lower or higher though).

I've done one before it took me quite a while to do all the scripts. $600 seems too generous imo. At least a $1000 for the scripts and then more to get it to go into a design.

Upwards of $20,000 if you hire professionals. If you hire a freelancer, significantly less.

You have REALY got to get it out of your head that a freelancer and a professional always different, and mutually exclusive terms.

True imo. The main would advertisements. Getting sufficient prizes as reasons for people to join up. I was heavily advise trying to get in touch with some big companies to work with you with more reasons to bring them customers and you traffic. If you say live in the UK, or EU you could try to get intouch with www.multiplay.co.uk (please tell me if i'm not allowed to post the link) and try to maybe organise an quartly tournament and hold the grand finals of it at their i-series LAN events.

Well thats if you want to make it big. I know of a few leagues that have come about that have been able to sell themselves to others to make their league. And they are only been started in the past year or so.

A professional as in somebody who works for a "real" company, not for themselves.
