Frontpage v.s. Dreamweaver

I really like PHP Designer 2005 to, but I'm just so used to notepad I don't use it unless I'm coding something massive or something i need a very good overview over..

the only thing that matters is how well you know the language. i can create more complient and complex layouts in frontpage than the people in my program praising dreamweaver.

i want to design a pwned card to give to them next year.

In my opinion, the real comparison is not Frontpage vs Dreamweaver but Wysiwyg vs Hand coding.

yeah, using front page in design mode i can generate better html than my classmates using dreamweavers - even with the bloated extra crap FP throws in there.

it all comes down to understanding.

Well I like dreamweaver. It's better in all aspects. Only thing is I think frontpage handles tables better than dreamweaver in my opinion. That's how I see it but in the long run I always open dreamweaver. I also do freehand but not in notepad. Still dreaweaver, just that I go through the codes and tweak it as I want. I'm still at intermediate.

i used to rely on notepad alot but now i rely on syntax highlighting. it makes coding so much easier to understand.

Let's see--I started out with FrontPage Express. Then to FrontPage. Then to HomeSite (I love HomeSite). I also used EditPad a lot. Then to Dreamweaver. By then I was using a Mac as well, so it was Dreamweaver and BBEdit. These days it's mostly Dreamweaver, though I will hand code now and then. (Just simple, simple pages. I am never going to be a savvy hand-coder.)

i used to use FrontPage, before i knew of Dreamweaver. i didnt know jack about HTML back then so i just used to make some wack pages in the design view.

but imo, Dreamweaver > FrontPage in both hand coding and WYSIWYG. DW produces much neater and better code than FP. and also in the code view of DW, its very userfriendly because of the color coding, the code hinting, etc.

Dreamweaver and CuteHTML Editor are the best IMO.
