  Old  Warning - Spoof e-mails...

It appears that someone is targeting talkfreelance with mail bombs to the admins (i've had over 8,000 now....) and also spoof e-mails from my address to members telling them they are owned.

I did not send these.....

Regards.

I saw your post on WHT about it. I thought it was rather odd for a company like Site5 to do that

I would be interested to hear how they got members email addresses? Has the forum database been compromised in some fashion?

No the forum database has not been compromised. As far as i'm aware, it's only one member and the admins who have recieved e-mails. The member who recieved an e-mail is a friend of mine and it was rather insultive.

It must be somebody against you the admins and that member. Have site5 trace all hits to the site and resolve each and contact each of them.

Oh I might have. I use my spam email on forum. Meaning I use the email for all registration stuff. I will check it.
