I haven't come across a way, and from my experience IE7 is rather dreadful.

I think any coding should translate the same, but I understand your concerns, I'm sure something must've changed.

IE7 Standalone: http://weblogs.asp.net/jgalloway/arc...a-3_2900_.aspx
Personally, I installed IE7 as normal (so it's my main, default IE) and downloaded the standalone version of IE6 from here: http://browsers.evolt.org/?/ie/32bit/standalone

As for safari, aside from buying a Mac, you're out of luck.

IE:

Grab the stand alones of ie6/ie7 - other wise you'll end up using a different browser but the same engine.

Safari:

Safari uses the webkit rendering engine; Swift is a webkit based browser for windows: http://try.swift.ws/index.php?title=Main_Page - it'll render a lot like safari.

I can't stand IE7. Still using a combination of IE6 and Firefox.

Well, after you uninstall IE7, when you restart, IE6 will automatically install on your computer so how can you have both versions as standalone?
