I hold it the same way. And this is the only way ;-).
No tables for layout but for tabular data. So you have to differ between the "good" tables and the "not-good" tables, in particular when you make sites w3 conform.

I've been using CSS non-tabular code for a while now.

CSS all the way... its so much easier to create the layout and format everything with 1 file.

I am still using table but I am planning to change to CSS

Tabular data consists of attribute tables that define the parameters of the map features. There is really no limit to what the tables can contain, whether Boolean strings (True/False), Text, or Numeric data. For example, a Boolean entry in a cities table may define whether or not each city is a national capital. A text entry may have the city's name, or the archaeological period in which it flourished. A numeric entry could have population figures or lat/long coordinates. ...

basically tabular data is something like a spreadsheet with info in it. like a chart or something with different columns/rows, etc. where you would put in data. something like that.

Well I like to drink a LOT of cold water after my long bike rides, when I am riding the water warms up in my drink bottle and makes it unpleasant when rehydrating. Getting home and having a really cold drink satisfies the hell outta me!

Oops....now where was I...

Oh yeah, ummm, I code in tableless CSS and have been doing so for so long now I don't remember when I started. I never learned how to code in tables, so I am very lucky as I don't know how to do them.

Rather weirdly, I've never used tables. When I started out (~four years ago) I was already using divs, although at that time it wasn't with CSS but rather the cluttered html for the divs, using absolute positioning and all that shiz.
