Old  Program like powerpoint or PP settings?

I am wanting to make a video presentation for an assignment I have coming up. I can do all the video editing etc, however, I want a program that can loop a video sequence then change it when I click.

Here is an example:

Open.avi (plays until end of track then goes to next file)
Loop1.avi (continuous loop until I click)
Content1.avi (plays until end of track then goes to next file)
Loop1.avi(continuous loop until I click)
Content3.avi (plays until end of track then goes to next file)

And catch my drift? Powerpoint can do this but apparently a PPT embeds the video... which I can't have.

Is there any software that could do that for me?
