There was indeed a previous thread about this. While it was not copy, many people felt it was inspired, so we changed the logo. We definitely do not want to project any type of image as this, as that is definitely not the case. I was more than happy to have the logo changed, as I could see where people were coming from. A very corny business phrase that I like to use, I aim to please.
The screenshots that are on our site, is obviously with the old logo. The one on the demo is the new one since the last thread.
I could see where many people felt the old logo was inspired, which is exactly why it was changed. However, saying that the new logo is inspired is definitely a stretch. The only remote similarity that I can see is that it uses
somewhat of the same blue/green gradient, but definitely not the same. If this was considered to be "inspired" then a lot of "Web 2.0" designs would be in trouble.
And also for the record, in the next major version, all logos (including the one included in the current demo) will be changed to our final logo, which is not even in the same color scheme as TFL.
